「到底掃墓要不要去？當然要，我們要主動參與絕不規避」

"Do we go to sweep tombs? Of course, we can participate in it actively without avoiding it."

華人有清明祭祖的習俗 
Chinese people have the custom to worship ancestors

擺食物祭牲祈求祖先回來食用，要燒冥紙以使他在陰間有錢花用，燒香以取悅過世的祖先，求告祖先能因此庇護後代子孫，所以這些祭祖的意識和活動，是和祖先的亡靈來往溝通，並服事他們，對他們有所求告。這就已經成為敬拜偶像的活動了，

"Eat the food worshiped the ancestors, burn ghost money for the dead to use in the underworld, place the incenses on the tombs to please the ancestors and pray for their protection and blessing to the descendants" are all for communicating, serving and invoking the ancestors. All above have been the activities of worshiping idols.

基督徒當然不能犯拜偶像的罪。燒香、燒紙、擺設食物或物品都不相宜，以免引起別人的誤會而使別人落入拜偶像的罪!

Of course Christians can't sin by worshiping idols. We are not supposed to burn incenses, ghost money or place foods or goods to worship ancestors, for fear that we may mislead others to commit the sin of worshiping idols!

傳統的祭祖掃墓儀式中參雜許多異教內容。好比燒紙錢、燒香、拜土地公等，這些基督徒都不便參與。但若不參與掃墓，在親族眼中就成了數典忘祖、不忠不孝的罪人。

Traditional tomb sweeping ceremonies include many paganism practices like burning ghost money, incenses and worshiping Earth God. Christians can't join in them. But if we don't, we are viewed by families as sinners who are unthankful, unloyal and undutiful to our ancestors.  

所以我們可以預備鮮花和蠟燭，別人上香我們就獻花，別人燒紙錢我們就點蠟燭，別人拜土地公我們就向神禱告。 

Therefore we can prepare fresh flowers and candles in advance. 
We offer the flowers instead of incenses, light the candles instead of ghost money, and pray to God instead of Earth God.
